How we differ
Channel analytics on par with closed tools, plus two things they do not give you: the ads running inside a channel, and an open dataset with a public API.

Metrics, defined
Plain-language definitions for the metrics shown on every channel page.
Subscribers
Total members of a channel — the audience size Telegram reports.
Average views
Typical views per post, measured across recent posts.
Engagement rate (ER)
Views relative to subscribers. We show an approximation of average views ÷ subscribers.
Reach
How many accounts a post is seen by, including forwards beyond subscribers.
CPM
Cost per 1,000 impressions — what advertisers pay for reach inside Telegram.
How we count
Where every number comes from — and where we approximate.
Audience and views
Subscribers and average views are read from public channel metadata and recent posts, refreshed on a rolling schedule.
Growth history
Daily snapshots build the subscriber and views charts on a channel’s deep-dive page.
Engagement is an estimate
ER is shown as an approximation (average views ÷ subscribers) unless a measured per-post rate is available. It is labelled either way.
Ads inside a channel
Advertisers come from our open archive of Telegram sponsored messages — the same data behind the ad index.
Estimated values are always marked. We never publish numbers we cannot source.

Channel analytics are comparable, but telemetr.com is open by default — no login to browse, a public API and a CC-BY-4.0 dataset — and it also shows the ads running inside each channel, which analytics-only tools do not.
ER is shown as an approximation of average views divided by subscribers. For channels where we observe per-post rates, we use the measured value. Approximations are labelled.

Yes — a public REST API exposes channels, rankings, advertisers and niches, with CSV export. See the API docs for endpoints and rate limits.
